My iPhone Apps

It’s about time I talk about my third hand, my iPhone. This entry has been sitting on my drafts for close to about a year now so I finally decided to update it and share my thumb’s best friends. In no particular order, these are the apps I mostly use on a daily basis: SOCIAL MEDIA The apps that I use are pretty much self-explanatory: Facebook, TweetBot (best twitter client, hands down), Instagram, Snapchat, Swarm. I have Path but I only go on it sometimes to keep track of my friends back in Jakarta because it’s pretty much the no. 1 social networking app there now. I have Goodreads downloaded when I’m currently reading a book so I can track my progress easily. More categories below!

Friday’s 10 Happy Things, v2

1. Fun day Monday! Last Monday was a holiday for us so a few friends and I took an impromptu drive to the South of Cebu where we literally chased (5 levels!) waterfalls, and ended the day with a dip in the beach waiting for the sun to set on the horizon right before our eyes. Despite the long drive, it was such a great day for all of us. 2. Being a year older. I had a very extended birthday weekend that stretched from Last Thursday to Monday. I thought nothing could ever top last years’ birthday festivities that stretched up to 10 days, but this year comes close and up to par. I’m always thankful. 3. Signed books! Working in a book publishing company comes with perks, and I received not 1, but 3 signed books from well known authors. I was greeted with a UPS box when I got back to the office with signed hardback books by Jojo Moyes, Gayle Forman, and Lisa Jackson. 4. Accidental make-up ban. Ever since I …

New Year, Clean System

One of my goals (I don’t really say resolutions, see previous post) this year is to completely zero out my MacBook Pro and start from scratch. Everything that’s in there has been around for almost 8 years or so, since I bought my very first MacBook then bought my second one and did a Migration Assistant from the old one. It’s been a long time coming, really. I hardly use the apps I used to hoard, I hardly listen to songs from my iTunes collection (hello, Spotify!) and the files that are inside are remnants of my sleepless nights in college writing countless essays and reports and marketing research and the likes. Needless to say, stuff that I’ve grown out of. I have a separate hard drive for my movies, tv shows, documents and photos, so I dumped everything in its rightful drive and proceeded to do a clean install. It was a very productive Saturday in, and it felt good. Now that it’s back, I’ve listed out some of the things I’m going to …

Things I Love Thursday, #5

Can you believe it’s been 3 years since my last TILT? 2011! Well then, let’s proceed! 1. LORAC Pro 2 Palette, about $42   I got mine last weekend and I have been using it every single day since. My first major palette was the LORAC Stylist (Naked, what?) so it made perfect sense to me that I would purchase the LORAC Pro 2. It seems like US-based beauty bloggers prefer the original LORAC Pro to this one, but I feel like I can do more looks with this 2nd one and it also looks friendlier to my skin tone. I’m excited for my journey with this palette! 2. NARS Audacious in Vivien, about $32 As much as I want to include so many other beauty-related things (ahem, Real Techniques Nic’s Picks set, ahem).. I promised I wouldn’t make this list makeup-centric so this will be the last beauty item! I bought this sometime last month and if only I had lesser things to pay for I would definitely get me more of these. Imagine, there are about 40 colors in …

Mobile Phone History

Saw a post in one of the blogs I subscribe to where he listed all the phones he’s ever owned so I felt like doing mine. If I am not mistaken these are the phones that I previously owned. I forgot which years though, but I do remember which times in my life I owned them. Nokia 6110 (6th grade) Nokia 3210 (7th grade) Nokia 8250 (8th grade) Sony Ericsson T610 (9th-10th grade) Nokia 6020 (college in Cebu) Motorola Razr V3 (uni in Jakarta) BlackBerry Curve 8310 (2008-2009) BlackBerry Curve 8900 (late 2009-early 2011) BlackBerry Bold 9780 (2011-2012) Samsung GT-E1195 Samsung GT-E1080F iPhone 4S (2012-present) Alcatel OT-255D I feel liked I missed a few. I kinda have this thing for buying cheap phones that end up just lying around the house.. those are the ones indicated in Italics. Heh.
