Friday’s 10 Happy Things, v15

This week was pretty full in terms of life, and what a better way to end it than recalling all the happy things that took place! 1. La La Land. I watched it with my girlfriends on Wednesday and I absolutely fell in love with everything. Do I need to elaborate? I don’t think so. 2. Wednesday night dinner with the girls. The good side to adulting is when you get to catch up with friends after work and you’re all coming from different jobs, and just sit and chat and update each other with what’s been happening. It somehow felt like an episode of SATC or something too because there were 4 of us. Heh. 3. Coffee shop afternoons. When my sister has her midterms, I always drag her out to coffee shops after school so that she can sit and study instead of falling asleep at home. It also gave me a chance to fully live the “digital nomad” life for the last week since before starting my new job. 4. Bittersweet (last) …

The Sunday Currently, v24

Hello 2017 and a happy new year everyone! That greeting is still valid, right? After all we’re only 8 days into the year but it already feels like 3 months. Crazy. I’ve been a little slow on blogging, mostly because I’ve been prioritizing different things and most especially getting my daily life on track after travelling for 4 weeks. December was weirdly great and I’m always grateful to end the year on a good note. FEELING Crazy old. I turn 29 this year and it’s an age I never imagined turning. I’m not a fan of these feelings because I feel and look forever 19 or something. I was at a wedding yesterday where I had to make a speech and the host was genuinely shocked when I said I was only 28. And I had a full face of makeup to boot! I’m also still really lazy to wear glasses and I am feeling my eyesight just deteriorating, and been getting eye strain-related headaches lately. The Sunday Currently, v23

FEELING I’ve been having really sudden bouts of bad headache the whole weekend. It’s weird because when I’m doing something like reading or watching something it goes away but when I’m idle or just looking around that’s when I really feel it. I have a feeling it has something to do with my glasses usage because I’ve had to take it off and put it on again a few times this weekend. READING Miracle on 5th Avenue by Sarah Morgan. I’ve been having a good streak with cheesy, romantic books this month and fortunately this is a trilogy starring 3 friends and their 3 different love lives. So far, so good!

Review: ban.do 2017 Classic Agenda

I admit, I am always on the hunt for new notebooks, planners, agendas, journals, and anything similar to it. I love the current planner that I use daily, the Peter Pauper Press Weekly Planner because it’s compact, not too thick, and just the right size to fit into any bag. It’s also not too heavy (for a 17-month planner) and I’ve been using it for about a year now. I am obsessed with stationery and planners become naturally part of that obsession. I have lost count on how many journals I have loved and put away unfinished, just because I found a new one. Here’s my review of the ban.do 17-month classic agenda! First Impressions I honestly thought it would feel more compact. I was a little surprised that it was thicker and bulkier than I had expected. If I’m not mistaken this is the smallest size but it still feels quite bulky and heavy. I think I just got spoiled with my current planner because it’s the right size and thickness. What’s In My Makeup Bag | October 2016

Time for an updated makeup bag post! I only started to downsize my makeup bag recently because a) I started losing stuff (fare thee well my Too Faced La Creme, MAC Del Rio, and Kat Von D lippies), b) I want to learn to only bring the things I really use outside the house c) I don’t even wear THAT much makeup except for the essentials. I feel pretty proud this year because I’ve been amassing less makeup and focusing more on quality than quantity. My “Project Pan” is working pretty well too! Without further ado, here are the “essentials” I carry with me most of the time. Some of them look so messy because they’re so overused. At least my bag doesn’t have to be so heavy anymore!
