The Sunday Currently, v19

This is going up quite early because I’m home on a Saturday x Sunday night! I’ve quite a lot going on for July so it’s a homebody weekend. The photo above correctly depicts my current position right now, lying on my stomach in bed in the dark, typing away on my MacBook. WANTING A new dog. It’s been exactly 4 years since Sushi died and she will forever be missed. Recently I’ve been getting that lingering feeling of having a pet and I think it’s time and that I am ready. I’m just looking for places where I can adopt or buy—whichever comes first. Owning a dog is a huge responsibility and should be taken seriously so I’m not going to rush into it because it’s something that requires a lot of decision making and extreme thought. Also when we bought Sushi, she chose us and not the other way around, so unless I get the same vibes from our soon-to-be dog then I won’t haphazardly make any rash decisions. Friday’s 10 Happy Things, v6

Manila business trip. From Monday to Wednesday I was in Manila to meet with my colleagues and bosses! It was such a great experience. I will start to work remote full-time soon but I love that my new job allows me to travel to either Singapore or Manila once in a while to be in an office with my colleages and the last few days were just that. The Singapore team also flew down to Manila so it was definitely a reunion of sorts. Staying and working in BGC. I have always avoided going to Manila my whole life (sorry, guys) because I know how hectic it can get. I lived in Jakarta long enough to know what crazy city life is like. I love how BGC is like an insight to how Manila could have been. As superficial as I can get, for me, Manila = BGC. Crazy Rich Asians delivery. Being a Fullybooked member they called me and asked if I wanted a signed copy of Kevin Kwan’s book while he did his …

The Sunday Currently, v12

FEELING A little bit better, hopefully? It’s Day 9 of post-op recovery from tonsillectomy and while the previous days have been absolutely torture, I can actually see a bit of light at the end of the tunnel. If you follow my twitter then you would have probably seen my tweets of the same kind below. The past week has been crazy. Tonsillectomy recovery in adults is not for the faint-hearted. I am glad I got to have a little bit of outside R&R this weekend because my family decided to book rooms at a beach resort nearby. After being cooped up in my room for a good 5 days crying in pain, I think I needed a different atmosphere. I did not imagine day 4-6 to be hurting this much. It’s synonymous to torture. #tonsillectomy — Justine (@juiceee) July 17, 2015 Other than that, today I found something that had the potential to break me and put me at my lowest. If this were me a month ago, I would have probably flipped and allowed …

Things I Love Thursday, #5

Can you believe it’s been 3 years since my last TILT? 2011! Well then, let’s proceed! 1. LORAC Pro 2 Palette, about $42   I got mine last weekend and I have been using it every single day since. My first major palette was the LORAC Stylist (Naked, what?) so it made perfect sense to me that I would purchase the LORAC Pro 2. It seems like US-based beauty bloggers prefer the original LORAC Pro to this one, but I feel like I can do more looks with this 2nd one and it also looks friendlier to my skin tone. I’m excited for my journey with this palette! 2. NARS Audacious in Vivien, about $32 As much as I want to include so many other beauty-related things (ahem, Real Techniques Nic’s Picks set, ahem).. I promised I wouldn’t make this list makeup-centric so this will be the last beauty item! I bought this sometime last month and if only I had lesser things to pay for I would definitely get me more of these. Imagine, there are about 40 colors in …

Seoul City 2013, pt. 1

How do I do this? I have so many photos! I was in Seoul, Korea for 9 nights and 8 days last March to April. I loved it there. I even felt like I didn’t appreciate it as much then because HOLY HELL I MISS IT SO MUCH RIGHT NOW. I finally got to see Caroline after ages too, who knew we would reunite in Seoul, out of all places? Where do I start? This entry is going to be flooded with photos if I put them all in this post! Here’s a little of Seoul and beyond. Gwanghwamun Square
