What’s In My Makeup Bag | October 2016

Time for an updated makeup bag post! I only started to downsize my makeup bag recently because a) I started losing stuff (fare thee well my Too Faced La Creme, MAC Del Rio, and Kat Von D lippies), b) I want to learn to only bring the things I really use outside the house c) I don’t even wear THAT much makeup except for the essentials. I feel pretty proud this year because I’ve been amassing less makeup and focusing more on quality than quantity. My “Project Pan” is working pretty well too! Without further ado, here are the “essentials” I carry with me most of the time. Some of them look so messy because they’re so overused. At least my bag doesn’t have to be so heavy anymore!

Things I Love Thursday, #8: Vlogger Edition

I was about to tweet about the vlogs I watch, but it turned out to be more than 200 characters so an entry about it turned out to be the better option. I wasn’t really a fan of vlogs. My previous job involved working in an office that limited creative process and that was partly to blame because we had a lot of internet restrictions. I didn’t have interest in gaining interest about the lives of others through videos so I didn’t get into it–until recently. It was only this year that I started watching and following lives of random people on the internet and I’m not even sure how it really came about. Here’s a rundown of my favorite vlogs and how I came to love them. This is totally different from my list of beauty YouTubers (oh I watch a lot of those) so it’s not to say that I don’t spend a lot of time on YouTube still. Sam Sheffer I’ve been following Sam since he did social media at The Verge …

Random Questions Vol. 2

In the spirit of keeping this blog alive with content and a lot of blog series, I took a page out of Lauren Conrad’s lifestyle blog and answered the questions in that Tuesday Ten entry! How many kids do you want to have? Preferably I want to have more than 1 but not more than 4. I hope to be able to keep a balance in my family life in the future. What is your go-to cocktail? This is a choice between (in order) a mojito, an Amaretto sour or a margarita. Bonus points if they’re bottomless! What’s the first thing you do when you wake up in the morning? Guess the time, then check my phone if I’m right. Usually I’m about 90% right and I almost always wake up before my alarm. How many photos do you have on your phone’s camera roll right now? Let me check.. 3,863 Photos, 315 Videos. What is your favorite thing about being married single? What is the hardest part? I get to make my own decisions, …

The Sunday Currently, v22

LISTENING Kings of Leon’s new single, Waste a Moment! It’s been on repeat since it came out two days ago. I am very excited for their new album, but it’s so annoying that it won’t drop until next month. My body is ready. READING I just started reading After You by Jojo Moyes. In the last 10 days I have finished 3 books so I am in a reading streak. Results of being sick and on house arrest. FEELING I was expecting to feel sore and dizzy throughout the day because I did flying yoga this morning! I’m not sore but I was dizzy for a while after the class. Flying yoga isn’t the easiest but it is so much fun. This is an attempt to get my health back to optimum levels and break my yoga absence for about 2 months now (my longest in 3 years!!!). WATCHING I am waiting for the Sunday episode of PBB Teens to be released on iWantTV. I’ve been so impatient these days that I no longer watch …

August Don’t Cry

This has been sitting in my drafts folder for about 3 weeks so I decided to suck it up and finally finish this entry. August surprised me in more ways than one. There was quite a lot going on and I’m happy to say that I’ve kept up with most of last month’s happenings with a sane mind, and a positive outlook (most days). The contrast between August 2015 and August 2016 is a stark one but I have noticed that August often provides me with a somewhat renewed outlook and a good head-start for the closing months of the year. In retrospect, I drank a lot in August (and suffered its wrath). The beginning of the month started with a bar opening’s private party where alcohol consumption was almost unlimited, few days after that I flew to Manila for 5 days and drank every single night during that trip, then every single weekend of the month whether just spending the night at a friend’s watching football matches or even a bit more partying, not …
