The 2PM Experience

Related Post: 2PM, Finally! It’s taking me a while to come up with a decent blog post about my experience during last Friday’s 2PM concert, because I don’t know where to start. My word vomits about my experiences during that night have all been spewed on both my twitter accounts and told to friends who have been asking me about my experience but there’s just something about actually coming up with the right words to say in a blog post that’s so hard. It’s Tuesday as I currently write this but I have no idea when it will be published (FRIDAY!).. so I’m just forcing myself to just write so I don’t have to torture myself on how to come up with the entry for this blog. I know a lot of my online friends aren’t K-pop fans, and I didn’t get into K-pop until late 2009, where I already established a place in the internet as a blogger (who had no knowledge about K-pop and was a rock chick at heart) in both tumblr …

Things I Love Thursday, #4

Douglas Booth at #LFW. How gorgeous is this guy? Not to mention he’s so well dressed, you can’t go wrong with that. If he doesn’t have a stylist who works for him, kudos! I’ve always been a fan of the Burberry poster boys (George Craig, Alex Watson, Sam Riley, Tom Guinness and Alex Pettyfer to name a few) and their campaigns are always spot on in terms of model casting. My top favorites have to be George Craig and Douglas Booth because they look a little rough on the ages but really fit the bill of the smooth look Burberry offers. Suits Suits is the 2nd best TV show I’ve seen this year after Shameless US (What is up with my favorites this year being only 12 episodes and not coming back until a whole full year?). It is SO good and I finished it in less than a week despite work. Until now I’m still in a Suits withdrawal and I’m still thinking about Harvey and Mike’s shenanigans in the world of law. This …

K-pop Releases 2011: 2nd Half Favorites

I can finally write about k-pop now that most of the groups that I follow are releasing stuff left and right. The first half of 2011 was kind of a dud to me. I barely kept up with k-pop and 2PM was mostly doing activities in Japan so my fangirling was a bit on the low side. For me, the only solid releases during the first half was TVXQ’s Keep Your Head Down which I followed for weeks, EPIC EPIC song and performances that were worth the time. Big Bang also released Tonight which is one of my favorite k-pop tracks for 2011 and Love Song, which was a solid melody but unfortunately had boring performances. Other than that I loved Joo’s Bad Guy single, Dalmatian‘s mini, U-Kiss surprised me with less cringe-y songs after Xander and Kibum’s departure from the group and Kahi‘s single which was melodically okay, but still kind of a dud. The most disappointing comeback for me so far is definitely 4Minute. Mirror Mirror is a horrible song and Heart to …

Hump Day Randoms

I’ve been following A Softer World for more than 3 years now, sometimes I don’t understand it but the wit is usually on point and incredible. Like the one above. I bought these from ASOS the other day. So cute and cheap for only less than $11. I’ve become kind of an ASOS junkie lately.. I can’t resist their sales but in the end I do anyway. I recently bought a bag and another bag is on the way, it hasn’t arrived although it’s been close to a month. Patience and self-control is really what you need when it comes to online shopping. Have you listened to Jay-Z and Kanye’s Watch The Throne? It’s automatically included in my 2011 Best Album list. The level of epic is just awesome. My favorite tracks are New Day, Lift Off (feat. Beyonce) and everything else. Unlike 3 years ago, I didn’t get to watch Incubus in Jakarta this time. It’s a shame now because I have money to pay for concerts but no time to go because they’re …

2PM, Finally!

2PM was the reason why I got into k-pop. 2PM was the reason why I started to listen to Korean songs excessively. 2PM ignited the very fangirl in me that I thought did not exist. 2PM made me open my mind and eyes to singing and dancing Asian boys in which I used to laugh and poke fun at just a few years back. 2PM is a reason for a whole lot of things. After 15+ months of excessive fangirling, I finally saw 2PM. All six of their glory. Last December I already saw Jay Park, so SEEING all seven of THEM live and in person was quite unbelievable, sort of felt like a dream. I’m gonna go all major fangirl in this post and release my inhibitions, as it needs to be relished. I went to the event with my bestfriend, 3 Korean friends, my little sister and cousin. 2PM as a whole: It was surreal. Since they only performed 4 songs it’s hard for me to say what I feel. It was like …
