General Retrospect

I meant to post about a pretty awesome weekend where I watched Sondre Lerche and Corinne Bailey Rae and attended one of my closest friend’s wedding but I’ll get to that later. Work has been sorta biting my ass this week (well except for my rest Monday–had no work that time), I’ve hardly had any time to sit down in front of a WP page that when I found a chance I grabbed it straight away. I was sorting out my backups folder when I found a couple of old blog posts that I had saved and it got me thinking how my writing was so much better then. These days when I blog I’m always finding it hard to construct sentences in my head to tell a story or describe something. For example this morning while I was taking a shower, I suddenly thought of things to write about and had them saved up in my head. Of course the minute I turned the shower off all the thoughts went off with it. I …

Happily Married.. Really?

I shouldn’t be so surprised anymore when I catch up with old friends (hookups/whatnot) I haven’t seen in a long time and they tell me they’re married. This mindset of mine should be fixed that I’m not in high school anymore, I’m not even in uni anymore. I’m so close to entering the “mid-20s” stage and everyone around me is gradually tying the knot (and having kids). Not only friends but even the cousins I grew up with are building their own families and sometimes I ask myself where it leaves me, am I really that idle? Then again, if I’m happy with the way I live my life then it shouldn’t be a problem. Speaking of weddings, one of my good friends from high school is getting married this weekend. They’re both only 21. I’m really happy they found each other but at the same time I can’t help but think about how young they are. Ever since I graduated a year ago I’ve already attended 2 weddings of uni friends and classmates but …

Things I Love Thursday, #1

I’ve been meaning to do this for a while, but I’ve never found the right Thursday to do it, so here I am about to start! I love reading people’s posts about the things that they love and how random it usually gets and it’s kind of weird to say that I’m excited to start this hopefully a series of posts like these, but I am! BlackBerry 9780 I finally changed my phone! As soon as I got my first official paycheck in this company I blew it on this phone the very same day. I just couldn’t wait. I still love my Curve 8900 that I’ve had since 2009 but I’m passing it on my to little sister now. Time for a faster phone with a webkit browser and 3G internet connection, although the 5 megapixel camera is kind of freaking me out. I’ve never been the one to admit that I’m a crackberry addict.. but it’s kind of obvious if you know me in real life and how much I tweet. I may …

Good Wolf vs Bad Wolf

I just watched the latest 90210 yesterday (srsly, the only reason why I still watch that show is coz of Matt Lanter–who am I kidding? I love shallow shows) and it was the episode when the girls went away for a yoga retreat. There was a scene where they were all in the sauna where they poured out all their problems and fears. When Naomi (played by AnnaLynne McCord) poured out her story about the rape incident the guru told her to choose between the two wolves inside of her. One wolf was good and full of joy and love the other one was bad and basically had all the negative qualities. So the question was, which wolf was going to win? The answer was fairly simple, but it wasn’t something I expected. The writer of this episode definitely hit a nerve with this one. The yoga guru said, “The one you feed.” I’m going on a deep note here because I need to get this out that’s why here I am at 2 in …

Coz Baby You’re A Firework

Fireworks began to fill the area the minute the clock struck 12am. Lunar New Year is considered a national holiday here and the best part is, work decided to make Friday a holiday as well, thus my 4-day weekend has officially started. While I was watching the beautiful fireworks from the window it took me a while to notice how great it would look in photos and as the whole thing was about to slow down that’s when I realized that the SLR was right beside me. It was such a facepalm moment, I quickly ran out of the house and took photos of the remaining fireworks that were still sky high. I didn’t even have time to adjust camera settings and just clicked away. As usual, being my favorite nosy bitch, Sushi followed me outside watching me snap photos as a result of my fail realization. =P
